What is Depression?
Depression is a common mental health problem that causes people to experience variety of different symptoms such as, but not limited to:
Loss of interest of pleasure
Feelings of low self-worth
Sadness or hopelessness
Finding it hard to function
Avoiding other people even close friends and family
Depression can be complex and debilitating condition and its causes are not always fully understood. However, the following contributing factors can lead to depression:
Biological factors – for example genetics or experience of illness or injury
Psychological factors – for example experiences from childhood
Social factors – for example unemployment
How can I support you?
I know how difficult it can be when you are suffering with depression because I have been there. For many years, I suffered like you do. Together, we can do this.
I will support you throughout your journey at your time and your pace. We can explore the reasons for your depression and I will help you to release baggage you have been carrying for so long. Together we can find your way out from this dark hole and I will help you to be more resilient by giving you the tools necessary to face challenges in the future. Finally, we are considering ways to support your wellbeing so you are able to be free from this condition going forward.
